Summer Musical Theatre Workshop

Description: Participatns will explore theatre, singing and dance in a variety of performance settings.  Every day, campers will work on preparing scenes, monologues, solo/duet songs and full cast numbers from important musical theatre works.  They will experience individual and group acting coachings as well as develop vocal technique and basic dance/stage combat skills through games, scene study and group voice lessons.  Campers will also have an opportunity to explore activities  behind the scenes, including stage makeup, set design and
construction and costume making.  The camp will conclude with a final musical theatre revue performance that showcases their work.

This camp is open to all rising 7th through 10th grade King Philip students and will be held at the King Philip Middle School Auditorium.  You must provide transportation to and from camp for your child, as well as a bag lunch.  Carpools can be arranged.  Please contact Katherine Parker with any questions or concerns: parkerk@kingphilip.org or (508) 541-7324 ext. 480
